The Brandywine School District community has a long history of supporting capital projects.  A capital referendum is necessary to continue the very important renovations we have already accomplished, to bring buildings up to safety and accessibility standards, and to ensure that our facilities in BSD continue to be state-of-the-art and provide world class educational opportunities for all students.

The capital request is $49.6 million, of which only $19.3 million is local funding.  However, the taxpayers of the Brandywine School District will not see an increased capital tax because prior capital tax debt is being retired.

The 2016 Capital Referendum request will include the following specific projects.
