{Bush Pre-School} VISION - The Instructional team at the Bush Early Education Center is committed to providing our students with the most current and developmentally appropriate methods of instructions. Teachers, therapists and instruction aids participate in workshops and in-services to continue their knowledge base.
MISSION - Our mission is to provide all students with the opportunity to grow in all domains: personal-social, emotional, cognitive, motor and language. We believe that family involvement is key to {Bush Mascot} helping each student develop in each of these areas. Key components of the Bush program include open communication and parent partnerships among staff and families. In the Brandywine School District we strive to inspire and challenge every child every day.
GOALS -Our goals are the following:

To provide free and appropriate educational opportunities for our entire special needs students.

To provide these opportunities in an integrated setting by enrolling students without special needs from the community.

To provide developmentally appropriate activities to all students at the pre-school/kindergarten level.

To follow the district curriculum for Kindergarten.

To facilitate and foster independence of all students; physically, socially and emotionally by serving as role models for one another.

To involve families in the development of their children by providing opportunities/resources to enhance their working knowledge of growth and individual strengths and needs.
Early Childhood Assistance Program(ECAP)
{Pre-K Students} Brandywine Early Childhood Education Program (ECAP) is a state-funded preschool program for children who will be four years old by August 31st. Tuition is free for families that qualify based on income, and breakfast and lunch are included. The program is offered at PS duPont Early Learning Center located at PS duPont Middle School.
Many other services are provided to students enrolled in the program, including:

Bus transportation for children living within school boundaries

Developmental, physical, and dental evaluations

Services for children with special needs

Bilingual classroom

17 students per class taught by experienced teachers and paraprofessionals

Special emphasis on social, emotional, and physical development

Strong parent participation component
-
Academic and Kindergarten readiness skills

Social work services for all families
-
Field trips and special events
